Start with a clear record

Write down the platform name, domains, dates, amounts and payment recipients. Separate what you can document from what you were told. Keep original messages and files; avoid editing them.

Contact the payment provider

If you suspect a fraudulent payment, contact your bank, card provider or exchange promptly using independently verified details. Ask what reporting or dispute processes may apply. Availability and deadlines vary; there is no assurance that a payment can be reversed.

Check and report

Use the relevant regulator’s official register and warning list. A familiar company name alone is insufficient: clone firms may use a genuine company’s identity. Consider reporting to your local police and the appropriate regulator.

Be careful about follow-up approaches

An unsolicited offer to recover money may create another risk. Verify the provider and proposed terms independently. Do not give anyone your banking password, seed phrase or private key.
